We’re offering a great slate of local, Caribbean and international films on our film on-demand platform. Enjoy our films at home or on-the-go, whatever you prefer! You can even invite friends for a viewing party! Check out our selection of in-depth feature documentaries, focused short documentaries or even mind-bending short experimental content. On-demand films will be available from November 2 to November 24.

PREMIERE NOVEMBER 2

Festival Opening and Very Short Shorts Premiere 2023

The 2023 festival opened on November 2nd with a live premiere of the Very Short Shorts finalists on TV6 at 2:45pm.

At 7pm the Very Short Shorts finalists live streamed on our YouTube and Facebook channels, along with the short documentary Climate Blueprint: A quest ‘to be the most climate-resilient nation’ by Sarah Howard.The film looks under the hood at what it really means for a small island in the Caribbean facing the onslaught of climate change while still reeling from the impacts of colonialism, slavery, natural resource extraction and environmental degradation.

AWARD CEREMONY NOVEMBER 5

Festival Award Ceremony

We’re excited to announce our festival winners, especially our Very Short Shorts Mobile Film Competition winners!

The Best International Film Award was presented to Climate Blueprint: A quest ‘to be the most climate-resilient nation’ by Sarah Howard.

The Best T&T Film Award was won by Walking To Gasparillo by Kwasi Holder.

The Very Short Shorts Mobile Film Competition Overall Jury Award was presented to Trash Into Cash by Alyzee Lalla and Amber D’Ornellas winning $12,000 courtesy Lead Sponsor NGC. The Youth Jury Award was also presented to Trash Into Cash by Alyzee Lalla and Amber D’Ornellas. This award is presented by Republic Bank Limited through its Power to Make A Difference Program in the amount of $5,000 TTD. The filmmakers were the highest scoring in their age category of 12-25 years.

The Special category Circular Economy Award completed the Trash Into Cash trifecta, winning the award presented by the Cropper Foundation in the amount of $8,000 TTD.

The Very Short Shorts Mobile Film Competition People’s Choice Award was presented to Life on Land by Apphia Makeda Lord who won $3,000 TTD courtesy FilmTT.
