One Friday evening in Belmont, an intimate gathering of film enthusiasts, environmentalists and culture lovers got together to watch the groundbreaking documentary ‘The Coconut Revolution’ about the ‘world’s first successful eco-revolution’. After the film, the audience engaged in a lively discussion with the film’s Behind the Scenes Photography, Alex Smailes.

That was the start of the Green Screen Environmental Film Festival – Sustain T&T’s vision to use film as a medium to highlight environmental issues. Over nine years, Green Screen has hosted hundreds of films, gatherings, discussions, school screenings in Trinidad, Tobago and Guyana.
