Green Screen Environmental Film Festival, the Caribbean’s only environmentally-themed film festival will observe World Architecture Day with a panel discussion, which will be broadcast live on Facebook on Monday, October 11 at 7 pm.

The discussion will focus on the major challenges and trends that are shaping the built environment around the world, the Caribbean and here in T&T and features Architect Robert Thompson, Neuro-Innovator Kheston Walkins and Urban Planner Heather Pinnock.

The conversation will be moderated by Design Strategist Giselle Carr.

“World Architecture Day has been celebrated since 2005 with an overall objective of reminding the world of its collective responsibility for the future of the human habitat. This year’s rising temperatures and increase in flooding have been stark reminders to us in Trinidad and Tobago that we need to collectively pay attention to unregulated hillside developments, unsustainable farming practices and the protection of our forests. So this discussion is in part to raise consciousness but also to bring together some of the leading experts to have a public discussion on how we can all be part of creating solutions,” explained Festival Director Carver Bacchus.
